Science & Cinema

« Travel to the frontiers of a genre without limits : Science Fiction »

Science & Cinema is a magazine fully written and layout by myself.

In this 120 pages, travel into the collaboration between the Science and the 7th Art with all links that brings them together.
Go back to the past, learn how Science create Cinema and how these domains collaborate for a project like the movie Destination Moon. And finally analyze how Cinema inspires now Science to think about the futur.
All this content takes shape in a space journey through the solar system to go deeper and deeper into this universe of science fiction.

The 8th Continent Company

The 8th Continent Company is the first space tourism agency that will allow to spend 1 week on the Moon in 2039.

This Science-Fiction anticipation project will make this dream come true with an innovative visual identity, a communication campaign of the future, and all the mediums to sell this crazy project.

Movie Poster Every Week

Everything is in the title !

Since October 2018, I choose films that are close to my heart or are in the news and makes alternative posters every week to share them on Instagram. Mixing styles and techniques every week, it creates a real portfolio and brings me closer to becoming an art director in the film world.

Scinema Typography

In connection with my master thesis Science & Cinema, Scinema typography highlights the work of filmmakers who try out Science Fiction by playing with the barriers that Science imposes.

In the same way, this typography is conceived on a grid created thanks to the distances which separate the stars from our solar system, resulting in geometric shapes, circular but especially irregular and innovating.

Car Wash

Car Wash is a 1976 American comedy film about an ordinary day of employees at a Los Angeles hand washing station. A tender but caustic picture of an America far from Bling-Bling and the American dream.

During a workshop with Grilli Type, I created a typography inspired by the iconic soundtrack of this film by Rose Royce. An organic typography, on a very geometric linear basis. I then decided to use it to create silkscreen posters, then the vinyl of the soundtrack and the VHS of the film.

Pop Culture Anthology

This project was realized during my 4th year internship at Studio Aliens, specializing in film and cinema communication.
Warner Bros France had commissioned a Blu-Ray collector box for the release of the movie Ready Player One (S. Spielberg 2018) containing this movie and 19 others to which it refers.
A retro futuristic atmosphere, pictograms in the image of each film, a video game menu layout and a path leading us to a Pop Up: so many productions to plunge into the videogame universe of the movie.

This box is now available for sale on Amazon and FNAC.
